EBENEZER CHURCH

The phrase "Here I raise my Ebenezer" is a reference to the Bible verse 1 Samuel 7:12, which says, "Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, 'Thus far the Lord has helped us'". In the verse, the Israelites build a monument to honor God after he helps them defeat the Philistines in battle. The Hebrew word Ebenezer means "stone of help", and the monument serves as a reminder of God's love and grace, and the place where the Israelites felt his presence.
